It's Beginning to look a lot like . . .

OMG can you believe we have only 26 Days till Christmas?  What the ?!#!!#? happened to 2010?  Feels like JUST yesterday, we were celebrating the New 2010 year!  Life is way to short.  And I SERIOUSLY need to document more of my life, journal more, and get everything into a scrapbook.

Now I am guessing many of you are just like me.  You are drooling over all those daily Christmas Albums, wish you did one last year, spend hours, I mean HOURS staring at images of others albums in Flickr, and really want to do one this year, but just don't have the know how or my problem? patience to complete one.  Come on, I am a flop at "Picture a Day" and to make it even more sad, I am on the Creative Team for Weeds and Wildflowers.  All Gina has been doing the last 2 years are quickpages and templates for photo a day layouts and I STILL can't stick with it.  (And I will be honest with all of you, something you now all know about me, I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime Flop.  Ok, it is out!  But that is a whole other project I will work on after Christmas.)

This Christmas I decide I really want to do a 25 days of Christmas album.  I figured if I created the templates to give all of you for Free, yes 25 templates for FREE, You can all help me stay focused and motivated to complete my book and in return I really hope you all will be able to finish one too.  I also created a 25 days of Christmas Kit and Word Art that coordinate beautifully with this template album.

Here are the Templates:
These templates are created in a 6x6 size for a mini album.  I decide on a mini to keep from being overwhelmed with having to put so much together.  I Like Simplicity.  Did you all notice that? lol.  So if we all keep it simple we can all get this done, however, if you are someone who likes more, you can add all you want to these templates and add more pages.  Once you have download a few pages, you can even swap out the "Day Tag" to a different page, move things around, flip them, or what ever you like.  These templates come with separate layers in .tiff and .psd files.  You can also use them for gift giving.

Starting now, you can download a page a day.  I have 27 total pages to share with all of you.  Tonight you get the front and back covers.  Each night through Christmas, (oh I hope I have this all correct, lol) you will get 1 page to download beginning at aprox 10:00 p.m. EST,  give or take a few hours, cause I may run into jams.   I will keep the download links up for 24 hours and then they are gone forever.  So if you want the entire album, you have to come back here each day for the next page.

So I have gotten a question as to how you can put this all together.  I do have a few ideas I will share.   There are stores online that offer 6x6 mini albums, lots online.  I was surprised and excited.

7 Gypsies has this ring book.  Just glue your layouts right on the paper.  You can add more pages too.  This runs under $5.00 usa. It is all over the web.  I really like this idea.

Another idea is to create this completely on your own.  Cut out the kraft board, hole punch it and ad your paper rings (you can go with only 2 rings with a 6x6 size), all which you can pick up a your local craft store or purchase at any online craft store.

SEI and American Crafts also has 6x6 albums.  The red one is by American Craft.  Google it and you will find it all over online.  I use American Crafts for all my full size albums.  Love their albums!

But this time, I decided to go with Bo Bunny's naked Albums, similar to American Crafts.  I love the idea of a small binder.  It is available online and I also found it at my local scrapbook store, YEA!

So here is how my mini Christmas album is going, btw, it is turning out to be a hybrid album.  I added a page or two with my old paper scrapping supplies I still have laying around.  Still keeping it simple.

I created my front and back cover using noël by leora sanford at CatScrap.  CUTE Kit, don't you think?  Beautiful Designer too.

Covered my album with paper from my local scrapbook store (cute huh?), ribbon, and a red bell I found in my stash.

Added an extra page and VOILA!!  Here is how it is looking:

And the Deer?  A Starbucks bag, I trimmed the top, hole punched it and thought it would be very cool to use it to hold my holiday traditional cookie/dessert recipies we make each year.  I will move it to the proper day, whenever that day will be.

Each day I will try and snap a picture of my progress and upload it to the Roadside Designs Flickr Group.   You can add yours too!  I would LOVE to see all your progress.

So  (link is no longer available) is your First Download of the front and back cover.  Remember, in order to get the entire album, come back each day and download a new page.  Each download is only available for 24 hours.   Tell All your Friends about it!!! Get everyone in on it!!!! Here is YOUR opportunity to finally complete that Christmas album.

This is soooo fabulous and generous of you! I think it's a great idea! I want to make an album for my sister, as she made one for me last year for Christmas and it literally brought me to tears. I think this is such a managable project, too! I have every single 6x album you've shown as examples. I am a paper scrapper still and have a stash too embarrassing to discuss. Let's just say, I have more than I could ever use in a lifetime (or perhaps two lifetimes!).

I am lovin' the hybrid route! Think that's what I'll do too. I hope my printer will do my pages justice!

Thanks again!
